Overcast Enterprise Gateway provides an easy way to allow Salesforce to hook up SAP data using Salesforce Lightning Connect

The Vigience Overcast Enterprise Gateway app – which runs on the Salesforce App Cloud – provides an easy way to allow Salesforce to hook up SAP data using Salesforce Lightning Connect.

Vigience and partner NEC announce at Dreamforce the Lightning Connect support go become generally available (GA)

A new Integration Scenario Type called Lightning Connect will be made available. This allows for very easy, zero-coding integration of SAP and other backoffice data into Salesforce.

For SAP users, this means that they will save the hassle of programming OData sources and then hooking them up to Salesforce. Overcast allows customers to access thousands of standard SAP APIs and consume them in Salesforce Lightning Connect simply by registering the API and exposing them as Salesforce External Objects.
