Business Challenge

New Zealand’s government needed to replace its highly developed asset management solution that integrates mobile, GIS, documents, images, public web site and their licensing systems. The DoC wanted to choose SAP MAM, but needed a more tailored solution in terms of performance, hardware devices and adaption to the usage in New Zealand’s natural setting.

Solution

Vigience was part of the conceptual phase of the project from the very beginning and developed the proof of concept to show that SAP MAM was the right choice. 

Vigience performed the entire mobile side of the implementation covering the UI adaption and redesign, the implementation of standard MAM as well as the add-on development for the special needs of the DoC.

Benefits

The project was an overwhelming success in terms of functionality, productivity  and user acceptance as well as Return on Investment. The NZ government is now running a high-end performing asset management solution that integrates mobile, GIS, asset readers, etc tailored to their special needs with a solid SAP backend..
