Products for SAP GTS

SAP GRC Global Trade Services (SAP GTS) helps companies get their import and export processing under control and comply with relevant laws, regulations, and trade security measures. SAP GTS talks electronically with customs authorities via EDI messages and can automatically fill in and print required import/export processing forms. Since every customs authority has their own set of standards, laws and regulations, SAP GTS is localised by country to their customs authorities' requirements.

Export relevant change happens a lot (and not all authorities accept a complete cancellation and recreation approach): each time a ship is delayed, container contents change, or the correction of a simple clerical mistakem etc. Each of these changes needs to be communicated to the customs authority via proper change messages.

SAP GTS provides support for such change processing as of SAP GTS 8.0 through a change framework. Vigience developers worked with SAP AG developers to design and build this change framework and then Vigience provided a reference implementation at a key pilot customer.

Vigience now provides the change framework implementation - which requires customisation based on the countries and customer involved - as a packaged consulting service.

The Vigience Template implementation for SAP GTS Change Processing contains the following key features:

With only few customer and country specific adjustments necessary, Vigience provides a general purpose change framework implementation that is ready to support all export processes (including those beyond customs processing) and that is ready to work with all customs authorities and feeder systems.
