Gartner has just published its „Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service“, therein evaluating Vigience and 16 other vendors in that area.
According to Gartner:
“As organizations increasingly adopt the cloud, directors of integration must enable integration across on-premises and cloud applications and data sources. This Magic Quadrant evaluates providers of cloud-based integration platforms designed primarily, but not exclusively, to tackle this challenge.”
– Gartner Enterprise iPaaS Magic Quadrant, January 2014
As we are the new kids on the block and do focus on providing very deep expertise in the three markets, SAP, Microsoft SharePoint, and Salesforce, we consider the positioning by Gartner in the top corner of the „Niche Player“ quadrant a confirmation of our strategy of how we help companies achieve integration of their backend systems (often SAP ERP or SAP HANA) with state-of-the-art cloud solutions like Salesforce.com or Microsoft SharePoint (Office 365 and On Premise). Using a service-based approach that doesn’t require changes in the backend and doesn’t introduce another complex middleware but rather utilizes the end user interface of the targeted frontend, the implementation time and cost of integration projects significantly reduced.
This positioning also serves as an encouragement for us to further extend or partner channels for delivering the Overcast service as well as extending our portfolio of business process templates in order to support additional use cases and industries.
